Introduction

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Mischa but I use the pseudonym Ktulu007. I'm a Deutsch writer and I also do anime reviews. I've been doing these online for a couple years. Initially, I wasn't planning on bringing this aspect of my online life to WordPress. However, I changed my mind. Let me start by saying that, right now, I don't plan on bringing any of my old reviews to WordPress. There are simply too many. That being said, I do take requests for anime that you may want to see me review and if one of the anime I've already reviewed comes up I will bring that particular review over, although I may elect to make some minor changes. Like putting it into the regular format should it be an older review.

There are a few conditions I observe for review requests.

1. I don't watch hentai. No, I'm not a prude or zealot who thinks there's something wrong with hentai or any other pornography. I'm just not personally interested in it.

2. I generally do reviews on a first asked, first done basis. Sometimes it isn't possible because a request is too long or because I'm doing something special. For example, every October I review nothing but horror anime.

3. I won't review ongoing titles. If I look at MAL (myanimelist.net) and it says something like Status: Currently Airing, I'm going to hold off on the request until that reads as finished airing.

4. I don't watch anime dubbed. Every review I do will be of the original Japanese version. This means that if I can't find the original version I will, unfortunately be unable to do the review. So far this has happened three times with Transformers: Micron Legend, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. So it isn't a common occurrence.

that brings me to the format. I didn't have one when I first started but I developed this one after a while:I'll start with an introductory paragraph written before I watch or rewatch a series. this will contain some first impressions and basic information about the series. I'll continue with paragraphs discussing the story, characters, artwork, sound, ho-yay level, and conclude with a paragraph summarising the main points and giving my final score.

That brings me to the scoring system. I use a simple 1-10 scale. If I rate something a 1, it means I found nothing redeemable about it. A 2 means that there are some glimmers of quality but it's terrible as a whole. A 3 means that it's bad. A 4 means that it's not bad, but it's pretty sub-par. A 5 means that it's mediocre. It does roughly as many things well as it does badly. A 6 means that it's decent. A 7 moves up to good. An anime that gets an 8 is great. A 9 is excellent and a 10 gets everything right except for possibly some very minor things that barely merit mention.

Reviews will be put up every Wednesday (extra reviews may go up based on those aforementioned previous reviews). Right now my request queue is:

Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari

Honey and Clover

Robotics;Notes

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Psycho Pass

Blue Gender

Dennou Coil

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro Chan.
